Peacefully, surrounded by family at the Ottawa Hospital -General Campus on Sunday, June 29, 2014 at the age of 73. Beloved husband and best friend of Margaret Smith (née Higgins) of Alexandria. Loving father of Andrew (Racheal) of Calgary and Wendy (Eric) of Beaconsfield. Proud grandfather of Erika. Dear brother of Doris Warner (late Norman) of Calgary, Jim (Lesley) of Australia, Mike (Anne) of Calgary, Angela Eggleston (Foster) of Calgary and Tony (Lynda) of England. Son of the late Thomas and Pricilla (née Conway) Smith. A Celebration of Tom's Life will be held in the Reception Centre of the Glengarry Funeral Home, 580 Main St. S., Alexandria, Ontario (613) 525-3400 on Saturday, July 5, 2014 from 2-6 pm. A "Toast to Tom" and Eulogies will begin at 3 pm. Memorial donations to the Ottawa Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
