Obituary of Marcial Henri Emond

C’est avec une grande tristesse que nous vous annonçons le décès de M. Marcial Emond, décédé le 8 septembre, à l'âge de 83 ans.

Il était l’époux bien-aimé de Claudette (née Levert) Emond.

Il laisse dans le deuil ses enfants; Stéphane Emond, Lyne Emond (Eric Knustrom) et feu Daniel Emond, ses petits-enfants; Jérémie Emond, Emily Wood Emond (Kevin Maloney) et Barrett Knustrom, son arrière-petit-fils; Carter, sa sœur et son frère; Lillian l’Heureux et Gilles Emond, ainsi que plusieurs nièces, neveux, cousins, cousines, membres de famille et ami(e)s.

Prédécédé par ses parents Hervé et Aline (née Charlebois) Emond, et par sa sœur Lucienne.

La famille recevra parents et amis le samedi 20 septembre 2025 de 9h à 10h30 au Salon Funéraire Glengarry (580 Main St S, Alexandria, ON K0C 1A0). Une messe funéraire sera célébrée à la Basilique Saint-Finnan's à 11h, suivie d'une réception au Salon Funéraire Glengarry.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Marcial Emond, who passed on September 8, 2025, at the age of 83.

Cherished husband of Claudette (née Levert) Emond.

Beloved father of Stéphane Emond, Lyne Emond (Eric Knustrom) and the late Daniel Emond

Loving grandfather of Jérémie Emond, Emily Wood Emond (Kevin Maloney) and Barrett Knustrom.

Adored great-grandfather of Carter.

Dear brother of Lillian l’Heureux and Gilles Emond.

Marcial will be dearly missed by his nephews, nieces, cousins and by his many friends.

Predeceased by his parents Hervé and Aline (née Charlebois) Emond, also by his sister Lucienne.

Family and friends will be received on Saturday, September 20, 2025, from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Glengarry Funeral Home (580 Main St S, Alexandria, ON K0C 1A0). A Funeral Mass will be Celebrated at St. Finnan's Basilica at 11:00 a.m., followed by a reception at the Glengarry Funeral Home.

Donations to the Maxville Manor Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
