Obituary of Kenneth Roach

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Kenneth Roach, on Saturday October 18, 2025, at the age of 90.

Son of the late Gladstone Roach and the late Theresa Caesar.

Loving father of Patricia Roach, Charmaine Roach, Kenneth Jr. (Karen Rodriguez), Martin Roach (Catherine Plante), Jason Roach and Danny Picard (Jacinthe Picard).

Proud grandfather of Josianne, Valérie, Logan, Maélie, Daverill, Chenel, Janel, Jamaal, Laatifa, Shahaab, Shakiyl, Jamiyla, Dahlia, Mélina and Loïck; and great grandfather of 12 great grandchildren.

Dear brother of 7 brothers and sisters.

Husband of the late Barbara Hope, Johanne Martin, and the late Erika Werner; and beloved partner of Carole Berniquer.

Ken will be fondly remembered by his extended family in both Canada and in Trinidad and Tobago, and by his many friends.

Born in Trinidad and Tobago, Ken followed in his father’s footsteps and served as a police constable where he became a member of the Police Steel Drum Band.  Kenneth and his bandmates came to Montreal and represented Trinidad and Tobago at EXPO ‘67.  Ken decided to stay in Canada and spent the rest of his life playing and directing music, managing a nursing home, and spending time with his beloved family and cherished friends.  He will be missed by all who knew him.

Family and friends are invited to gather at the Glengarry Funeral Home, 580 Main Street South, Alexandria, Ontario K0C 1A0(613) 525-3400 on Saturday, November 1, 2025 from 12:00 to 1:45 p.m.  A Celebration of Ken's Life will be held at St. Finnan’s Basilica, 72 St. Paul Street, Alexandria, Ontario, K0C 1A0 at 2:00 p.m., followed by an entombment at St. Finnan’s Cemetery and a reception at the Glengarry Funeral Home.
