Obituary of Anton Sandtner

Peacefully, at the Southbridge Care Home, Cornwall, Ontario on Saturday, January 17, 2026 at the age of 95. Beloved husband of the late Helve Sandtner. Beloved close friend of Margarita Rupp. Father of Anton Jr. (Gisela Schmidt) and Frank. Proud grandfather of Jason, Evan, Corinna, Renattae, Konrad, Laura Gaye and Carter; and great grandfather of eight grandchildren. Dear brother of Theresa Heublein (Walter). Son of the late Franz and Theresa Sandtner. Anton will be fondly remembered by all his nieces, nephews, neighbours and friends. Family and friends are asked to gather at the First Baptist Church of Cornwall, 310 York Street, Cornwall, ON K6J 3Z3 on Saturday, January 31, 2026 from 10- 11:00 am. A Celebration of Anton’s Life will be held at 11 am. Family and friends are invited to a reception at Philos Greek Cuisine and Pizzeria, 1613 Pitt Street, Cornwall following the Celebration.
