Obituary of Thérèse Whelan

Peacefully, at The Palace – Long Term Care on Sunday, July 29, 2018 at the age of 94.  Beloved wife of the late Lorne Whelan.  Loving mother of Chantal Whelan of Ottawa.  Proud grandmother of Blaise, Clémence and Auguste. Predeceased by her parents Jean and Amanda (née Nadon) Barrette; by her sisters Cecile, Claire (late George), Fernande (late Yvon), Yvonne and Irene (Alan); and by her brothers Thomas (late Pauline), Albert (late Elsie), and Leo (Cathy).  Family and friends are invited to gather at the Salon Funéraire Glengarry Funeral Home, 580 Main St. S., Alexandria, (613) 525-3400 on Monday, August 6, 2018 from 7-9 pm and on Tuesday from 9:00 - 10:30 am.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Église Sacré-Coeur, Alexandria on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at 11 am. Interment, Cimetière Sacré-Coeur.  A reception will follow at the Salon Funéraire Glengarry Funeral Home.  In memory of Thérèse, donations made to Development & Peace or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.

Une messe d'inhumation chrétienne sera célébrée à l'église Sacré-Cœur, Alexandria le mardi 7 août, 2018 à 11H00.  L'enterrement, Cimetière Sacré-Cœur.  Une réception suivra à la salle de réception du Salon Funéraire Glengarry Funeral Home.
