Dear mum!
I am so sorry to have found you only now. I have often wondered what became of you and how you are. Of course, there was always the question why you left me and whether anyone in your new life knows about my existence in your old home country Austria? Unfortunately, I can no longer tell you that you have three adorable granddaughters who look very similar to you when I look at the last photo of you that remained with me. If anyone in the mourning ward reads these lines, I would be very happy if they could contact me. I would very much like to know more about my mother's life and whether I might even have half-siblings in Canada. Rest in peace, dear mom, your son Peter Sedlaczek, St. Poeltner Strasse 13a, 3233 Kilb, Austria e-mail: petzibaer177@gmail.com

Gerda was a friend to me and my husband Bill for the past ten years. We met at the Lancaster sidewalk sale where Gerda was selling her delicious home made jams. Our friendship grew from there. She had a mind full of information about many things. You could ask her anything especialy about gardening .
Most of all she had a big heart. I will miss her. Rest in peace my good friend.

I'm so sorry to hear of Mrs.
schwarz's passing. She was such a sweet lady.
She was a lady with a wonderful talent, painting.
Her little bears were sold in our communities for years,
every time we will look at our bears, we will think fondly of her.
My sincere condolences to her brother-in-law & dear friends.
Linda

we were very sad to hear about the passing of Gerda. She was a regular at the Martintown Mill with her care bears. I think everyone in my family have at least 1. She also was a gardener and we have Black eyed Susans she planted at our house along the river. They come up every year and will remind us of her as well as our care bears on our front door. Rest in peace Gerda

So sorry to hear of Gerda's passing. We were neighbours for quite a long time. We have many happy memories of times spent with Gerda and Heinz. Champagne and saurkraut soup comes to mind! She will know what that means! Talented lady - she will be missed. Rest in peace my friend. Martha - Parksville BC
