Peacefully at The Palace Long Term Care on Wednesday, May 20, 2020 at the age of 86. Loving husband of Johanna van den Oetelaar (nee Broeren). Loving father of Johanna “Marga” Massie (Robert) of Alexandria, Anna “Jantine” Summers (William) of Shannonville, Perry (Kristin) of Monkland and Andrew of Lancaster. Cherished Opa of Joel (Sanja), Matthieu (Marley), Angelique (Nathan), Serena (Blaine), Shelby (Mitchel), Justin, Daren (Lucia), Jordan and Alex. Also cherished great grandfather of Noah, Myles, Sophia, Susanna, Rylee, Aubree, Bernice and Brayden. Survived by 1 sister Riek Hellings (late Harry) and 1 sister-in-law. Predeceased by his parents Theodorus and Anna van den Oetelaar (nee Boselie) and by 7 brothers and 4 sisters: Martha (late Jan van den Heuvel), Miet (late Nard Kerkhof), Antonius (infant), Hendrikus (late Adriana), Antonia (late Harrie Den Otter), Casper (late Connie), Pietje (late Wim Jansen), Antoon (late Antonia), Jos (late Mien), Martin (Margaret) and Mike (late Hermine). Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, a Memorial Mass will be held once restrictions have been lifted.
