Peacefully at home, while surrounded by her children and grandchildren on Saturday, August 1, 2020 at the age of 91. Beloved wife of 64 wonderful years to the late James “Jim” Spinney (October 30, 2017). Loving mother of Lynne Gillies (Brad Edmunds), Karen Spinney (Wayne Harubin), and Greg Spinney (Yuridia E. Cuevas). Proud grandmother of Michael Helmer (Dani Galindo) and Kalynn Helmer. Predeceased by her parents Mark Irwin and Delie Irwin (née Sawyer); and her brother Robert Irwin (late Marlene). A Private Celebration of Gaye’s Life will be held. Memorial donations made to the Ontario SPCA Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry Animal Centre (Cornwall), Crohn’s and Colitis Canada, or Carefor Hospice Cornwall would be appreciated by the family.
