Obituary of June T. MacDonald

It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of our dear mother June Theresa MacDonald (nee Macdonald) peacefully at home at St. Raphael’s on Wed., May 28th, 2021 at age 93. Daughter of the late Hugh Rory Macdonald and Harriet McLean. Beloved wife of late Angus R. MacDonald. Cherished mother of Rory MacDonald of St. Andrew’s, Malcolm MacDonald of Williamstown and Leanne MacDonald at home. Predeceased by all her brothers and sisters, Roddy Macdonald (Mary), Angus Macdonald (Hariet), Adella (Fred Bradley), Hilda (Wilfred McCulloch), Mary (Hircel Hickey), Hazel (Harry Letange), Winnie (Ted Brady), Allan (Blanche), Teresa (Walter Mackinnon). Mom grew up on the family farm in Monkland. Her early working years were with Bell Canada in Montreal. Mom was an active member of the St. Raphael's CWL and a loyal parishioner to St. Raphael's Parish. She will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Special thank you to Dr. Smar and many PSW's with Bayshore Home Care who made her stay at home comfortable. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Glengarry Funeral Home in Alexandria (613) 525-3400. Due to the circumstances, a private funeral service will be held at St. Raphael's Church with interment following in the Parish Cemetery.
