Obituary of Vera Clatworthy
CLATWORTHY, Vera (née McMaster)
1931-2015
Passed away peacefully at Maxville Manor on Sunday, May 3, 2015. She was predeceased by her parents Duncan and Bella McMaster; her older brother Donald; and by her younger sister Margaret Quenneville. She will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband James A. Clatworthy. Vera was born and raised in Avonmore, Ontario. After High School, she attended Ottawa Normal School to become a teacher. Her passion for teaching changed many lives, as some of her students still corresponded with her for decades. Vera will be greatly missed by her three sons: Jim of Sylvan Lake, AB; John of Cornwall, ON; and Bob (Hedwig) of Glen Andrew, ON. Vera cherished her grandchildren: Yolanda, Jimmy, Erika (Arno), Dawson, Duncan; and her great granddaughter Marli. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2015 at 2 PM at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian, 3256 Main St., Avonmore, ON. An interment at Paul’s Hill Cemetery and a reception at North Stormont Place, Avonmore will follow.
