Obituary of William "Bill" Buss

Peacefully, at Glengarry Memorial Hospital on Friday, May 12, 2023.  William “Bill” Frederick Buss of Alexandria at the age of 84.

Beloved husband of 57 years to Marie Lucie Rachel Buss (née Dore).  Loving father of Geoffrey Buss (Dianna MacLennan), Craig Buss (Nina Palladini) and Jennifer Buss (Shawn Robinson).  Proud grandfather of Vanessa Buss, Robyn Laflamme, Isaac Roderick, Jayden Buss, Ethyn Lague, Jillian Buss, Joey Palladini, and Nick Palladini; and great-grandfather of Lillian Lavergne, Callie Sommerville, Reece Sommerville, Mia Bingley and Kingsley MacFarlane.  Dear brother of Denise Buss and Sandra Buss.  He will be fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews, neighbours and friends.

Bill served as a volunteer for the Alexandria Non-Profit Housing Corporation for 37 years, including a 3-year stint as chairman. He also served as the president of the Cornwall and Area Housing Authority.

A Celebration of Bill’s Life will be held at a later date.
