Obituary of Mary Grace Stewart

STEWART, Mary Grace Pearl (nee Barron) On the morning of Thursday, January 9, 2014 in Alexandria surrounded by immediate family; the staff of the Community Nursing Home / The Palace, her adopted family of 15 years; and her faithful budgie 'Pete'. Amazing Grace went peacefully to be with her Lord and Saviour. Loving wife to the late Harry Stewart. Sister to Gerald (Loretta), Thelma (Chak), and the the late Jim, Anthony, and Dorothy Barron. Mother to son Stephen, daughter Deborah, and devoted son-in-law Gaëtan Séguin. Grandmother to Michael Jamieson, and Kyle and Savannah Stewart. Aunt to many nieces and nephews. Gracie will always be remembered for her kind and gentle spirit, her loving heart, peaceful ways, sparkling blue eyes, beautiful smile, and contagious sence of humour. May she rest in peace. There is comfort in knowing we will meet again. Family and friends are requested to gather at the Salon Funéraire Glengarry Funeral Home, 580 Main St. S., Alexandria, (613) 525-3400 on Monday, January 13, 2014 from 1 - 2 pm. Grace's life will be celebrated in the Chapel of the Funeral Home at 2 pm, and will be followed by a reception. A private family interment will be held at a later date.
