Sorry to hear about Irene. She was a joy to be with and a funny person. We shared a love of dolls and cats. I will especially miss our heart to heart talks and our road trips. Many memories of baking lemon meringue pie when I used to come up and visit over the holidays, walking Harley through the cemetery and playing with dolls. Irene has been a friend of our family since 1974 and it was a real pleasure to be able to spend the time with her on our journey through life. We had many happy day's whenever she was around .She married a very good friend of mine who was able to share half of her life with. Irene was a kind happy person and made other's around her happy also. We will miss her but we will see her again some day in another form. Rick & Claire Sokoloski.

I'm truly saddened to learn of the passing of Irene. She was a remarkable woman. A local fashion icon! Her visits to the post office, where I was a clerk, were the highlights of my days. She always made me smile and brightened my day.

I’m a US friend of dear Irene, we got knowing each other because of dolls.
Her kindness, enthusiasm, generosity and many more virtues deeply moved us!
Although far away she’s gone, all the beautiful memories linked with her will be remaining in the bottom of my heart forever and ever!

Irene was a dear friend of mine and we were room mates for so many doll conventions that I cannot keep count. My family did a road trip to Montreal and we had dinner with Irene and Jurgen. Max will always remember how kind Irene was to him. I will miss talking to Irene on the phone and seeing her at events.
